The Rise of Multifamily in Silicon Valley

The CRE industry fared well in 2017 but 2018 is well positioned for explosive multifamily & residential growth.

A topic of discussion will be “amenities war.” Developers are always aiming to be innovative on that front and one of the most active developers in Silicon Valley, Sares Regis NorCal, knows what is best.”Residences have nine-foot ceilings, oversized windows, private balconies and patios and walk-in closets. Interiors feature hardwood-style plank flooring, quartz kitchen countertops, flat-panel cabinetry, high-efficiency heat and air conditioning and LED lighting.” SF Bisnow Reporter Julie Littman

With improvements to transit, this landscape is changing with each passing year and families looking to settle down in the South Bay are being presented with more options to choose from. “The BART extension from the East Bay into Silicon Valley will further drive demand for housing in the area.” SF Bisnow Reporter Julie Littman

Transit is definitely going to be a topic of conversation leading into the new year. The key takeaways are going to be land values and location.
